My Jumping

Last week, I got to spend more time with my Cousin Anna Lynn! I am always so happy when that happens, and as we’re growing it just gets more and more fun. She even taught me how to jump on the bed this last time. I can’t believe I’d never thought of that before!

For more videos of our cuteness, you can look at Anna Lynn’s blog too!

My Exercising

I go to the gym with Mommy pretty often and, even though I mostly play in the childcare, last time I couldn’t stop myself from doing some exercises on my way out!

First I tried the plank.

Then, I did something called floor sprints, where I just moved my legs like I’m running on the ground. It’s one of my favorite exercises.

Then, sometimes I just like to do some regular ol’ running in place:

My Walking (With Cousin Anna Lynn)

We all know I haven’t been too quick to get to the walking party but I made great progress this weekend!

We went to visit my Ma Ma (grandmother) and while we were there, I was so happy I got to see my cousin Anna Lynn and my Aunt Natasha! Before we went to see them, Mommy and Dad Guy were letting me watch videos of my cousin and I practiced saying “cousin Anna Lynn.” We got to spend most of a day together, and I was so excited ๐Ÿ™‚ She even helped me walk a lot more and my Aunt Natasha was kind enough to take some awesome video of it – check it out!

I had so much fun! Since then, I keep asking for “cousin Anna Lynn.” I can’t wait to see her again!

My Puzzles

My Nana and PawPaw told my Mommy that she started doing simple puzzles at 18mts. So Mommy and Dad Guy were kind of watching me to see if would love them as much as she did. Turns out, I do!

Of course, I started with some simple stuff, like this Snoopy clock puzzle. Actually, this was my Mommy’s when she was a kid:

Recently, I’ve gotten way more advanced.

When I can’t figure out where a piece goes, I like to say “hmmm…” while I think about it.

Here’s a video of me putting my lion puzzle together!

My Shoes

Check it out – I wore shoes for the first time EVER yesterday. Aren’t they cute?

After 20mts of shoelessness, I decided I kinda liked wearing these. And by the end of the day, I was even asking for Mommy and Dad Guy to put them on my feet.

Maybe now it’s time to start building up my collection ๐Ÿ™‚

My Edenisms

Now that my verbal ability is exploding, Mommy and Dad Guy have noticed that I have a way of saying things that is quite my own.

Like when we’re playing and I step on one of them (which happens quite a lot), I say “ouch.” I learned that because, for some reason, Dad Guy would say that whenever I would step on his neck. Weird.

I love for Mommy and Dad Guy to hold me so whenever I want them to, I say: “hold you?” “Hold you?” And then they always come to pick me up!

Because I’m so polite, I make sure to say “thank you” if you hand me anything.

Anytime I see a laptop, a phone or if we’re in the car, I always ask for “meemee” which is how I say “music.” I pretty much want music on constantly, because I like it soo sooo much!

I can tell Mommy and Dad Guy before I go poopoo or xi-xi. When they change my poopy diaper, I always ask to “see it?” And then sometimes I say “whoa!” And “yay!”

I call that funny thing on my tummy a “button” and I like to lift up my shirt to see it. But sometimes I have to pull in my chubby belly in order to find it!

My Bubbles

Yesterday, Mommy and Dad Guy took me out to try blowing bubbles for the first time. I don’t know why we haven’t done it before – it was so fun!

I’m not so great at blowing the bubbles myself,ย  but it’s really fun to try ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m looking forward to doing this all summer long!

My Updates

We have been doing a lot of traveling, so it’s been hard for me to keep everybody updated. Oops!

Traveling was fun – I’ve been to California twice in the past month! The weather there is nice and I got to play with my friend Jacob as well as stay with my Tom and Karen! They treat me like I’m their own grandchild, so I love it ๐Ÿ™‚

I went to the doctor a few days ago and he was happy with how I’m growing. After basically falling off the growth chart thingy for a little while, in the last two appointments I’ve been gaining lots of weight and getting taller!

I’m not walking on my own yet, but Doctor man said not to worry, because my muscles are really strong and I walk just holding a finger of Mommy and Dad Guy. I guess I’m just not ready to let go yet.

He also said that kids my age typically can say about 10-20 words. Well, Mommy and Dad Guy counted it up and I can say over 200 words, so I’m way ahead of the game!

I also know a TON of the alphabet. Of course, Mommy practices with me a lot and I repeat after her but often she or Dad Guy will hear me saying the alphabet by myself when I’m playing alone.

I can count to five in English and Cantonese. I know some more numbers, but those are the ones I know best.

And I can put together puzzle pieces! That one is kind of hit-and-miss, as sometimes I need help, but I’m figuring it out ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, that’s about it. Here’s a picture of me visiting the doctor:
