My parents usually have me in a very safe, fun and loving environment. Whenever I’m having some independent play on the floor, Dad Guy will always leave pillows around me in case I topple over. Mommy always gives me kisses in the morning when I wake up, in the evening right before bed and every waking moment in between. Basically, I’m in a great environment.

Every now and then though, something happens during the course of the day that I’m not so sure about. These days Mommy and Dad Guy do something in the kitchen that makes a loud noise. I’m starting to realize that these sudden loud noises don’t sit well with me and I freak out. I don’t have the most developed way of expressing myself at this age, but Mommy and Dad Guy are always signing with me, so I’ve adopted my own sign for them to know that I’m a little freaked out. It’s not too sophisticated, but thankfully Mommy figured it out and my parents always save me just in time.

Here’s a video demonstration. Watch my hands.
